School - Part I

Hopefully this will be a snippet into the activities of a typical school in Japan.

High school is separated into three terms like the typical British school, although the timings are different.

  • Term 1 - April 6th to July 18th
  • Term 2 - September 1st to December 21st
  • Term 3 - January 7th to March 22nd

Most students need to be at school by 8:00am, and most can be seen walking or cycling to their school, since most of them live closeby.

They then sit in their homeroom, the place where they have a teacher who watches over them until lessons begin later that day.
